Domain learningstone.net has been retired, but all the stone-related content you are looking for is still available. LearningStone.net has been home to two websites — related in a way, but with distinct identities and very different content. From 1997 until October 2004, it was the home of the Stone Directory (a.k.a. stonehoo) and Stone Conversations (the email discussion group). From October 2004 until October 2005, it was the home of the Portland & Sculpture Quarry Trust (previously psqt.org.uk). This is where they are now ...

• The Portland Sculpture & Quarry Trust is dedicated to the preservation of the traditional skills of Portland stone workers. The website is now on learningstone.org.
• The Stone Conversations pages and the Stone Directory have never moved — they are in the same place where they always were, but now under domain aboutstone.org. You can find them on About Stone Conversations and the Stone Sculpture Virtual Library. AboutStone is an international, non-commercial, information and contact resource for people who work with natural stone. It has several thousand pages, so it might be easier for you to search it:
